Fiona Gilbertson
Fiona Gilbertson Has over 25 years of advocacy experience in HIV and sex work, mainly in policy development and lobbying. She believes that the fundamental way to tackle stigma and discrimination is through policy change, people need rights not concessions.
She is a co founder of Recovering Justice who lobby and campaign to change drug policy from a lived experience perspective. They create alliances between the recovery community and the drug policy reform movement. She is community advisor to the Chief Constable of County Durham and has represented him at several national/international conferences. She was awarded a Winston Churchill travelling fellowship and studied diversion schemes in the UK and the US.
